Deleting your data

How to have wesaw delete what it holds about you, whether you connected a Meta account, installed the Shopify app, or joined the waiting list. One address, no form, and a written confirmation.

What we hold from your Meta connection

When you connect a Meta account, wesaw stores the id and name of the dataset you chose, the ids of the pixels you granted, and an access token, encrypted at rest and never displayed again. Nothing else is read from your Meta account. What wesaw sends to Meta is conversion events built from your shop's orders, with customer identifiers hashed on our servers before they leave.

How to ask

Write to hello@getwesaw.com from the email address of your wesaw account, and name the shop or the dataset. If you are not a wesaw user and believe wesaw holds data about you through a shop you bought from, write to the same address: we will tell you which shop it is, so you can exercise your rights with them as well.

What happens next

Within 30 days we delete the Meta access token, the dataset and pixel references, the shop's installation record and the events collected for that shop, then we confirm by email. What was already delivered to Meta lives in your Meta dataset and is deleted on Meta's side, through Events Manager, not through us.

If you ask through Meta

Meta lets you request deletion from the wesaw page in your Facebook settings. That request reaches us signed by Meta and is honoured on the spot: the connection to your advertising account is deleted, access token included, and Meta hands you a confirmation code that opens a page saying what was deleted. When nothing matched the identifier Meta sent, and that happens when the connection was made by pasting a token by hand, the page says so instead of confirming a deletion that did not happen, and a human answers the request within 30 days. This route deletes the connection, never the events collected for a shop: those go through the address above.

Revoking access without asking us

In Meta Business settings, under Integrations then Business integrations, remove wesaw: the token stops working immediately, and the next push fails and is recorded as failed rather than sent. Uninstalling the Shopify app revokes the shop token the same way. Neither of these deletes what we already hold; the email above does.

Waiting list

If you only joined the waiting list, the same address deletes your entry, as described on the privacy page.
